Our Policy
We are so excited to work with you! A few things to note before we get started:
By accepting our estimate and/or scheduling a date on our calendar you are agreeing to the following terms:
1. Scope of Work
A written estimate will be provided by installer before any work begins, detailing
- Type and quantity of wall-covering to be installed.
- Preparation and repair work required (e.g., wall priming, smoothing, or removal of existing wallpaper).
- Labor cost, material cost (if applicable), and total estimated price.
- Project start date and completion dates.
Any changes to the original scope of work by client (e.g. addition or subtraction of rooms, different materials, unforeseen wall damage, etc) must be communicated at least ten days before beginning of job. Changes may adjust the total cost of the estimate. Any additional labor not disclosed to the installer in the estimate process (e.g. walls need to be smoothed but was not originally on the estimate, room is bigger than client disclosed, etc) will be added to the final invoice.
If the client's change to the scope of work is a decrease in project size and notice is not given within 10 days of start date, Second Street Studio reserves the right to charge the original estimated balance to the customer. If the change is an increase in the scope of work, we will add on the additional spaces at an increased price.
2. Deposits and Payment Terms
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the project start date.
The remaining balance is due immediately upon project completion, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Late payments may incur a late fee (5% per week)
Work will not continue on unpaid or overdue invoices.
3. Cancellation Policy
Clients who cancel forfeit their 25% non refundable deposit.
We reserve the right to reschedule work due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather, illness, emergencies).
4. Site Preparation
Clients are responsible for ensuring the working area is cleared of furnishing, clean and accessible before the installer arrives.
The installer must be able to drive to the dwelling to unload and reload.
The environment must be climate controlled.
Water must be accessible at site unless otherwise stated.
Failure to comply with above may result in additional labor charges, project delays, cancellation or rescheduling fees.
5. Quality and Disputes
We guarantee our work will be performed to professional standards.
Any issues or concerns must be communicated in writing within 72 hours of completion.
Normal variation in pattern alignment or wall texture are not considered defects if within industry or manufacture standards.
6. Client Conduct
Clients must treat installers with respect and professionalism.
Installers reserve the right to terminate the project if subjected to harassment, unsafe conditions or unreasonable demands. In such cases, the client will be billed for all completed work and any materials used.
